I want to work explosiveness. Can I stretch earlier?
Today we have to talk about something as important as stretching and specifically the type of stretching that we have to do before an explosive activity.
Surely you have heard phrases like, do not forget to stretch, at the beginning and at the end of each session, even before going to bed it is good that you stretch a little. This is advice that our friends and coaches have given to all of us at some time.
But with everything we know about sports right now, talking about stretching becomes more complex. For each moment and objective we can perform one type of stretching or another and it is no longer worth doing the same thing all the time.
For example, if we are going to perform an explosive activity, it is better to perform dynamic stretches that will help us prepare the muscle for the activity, improving performance compared to passive stretching that worsened our performance in this type of activity. In the end, stretching is another part of our training that we have to take into account and that a bad orientation of them can have a negative impact on us, but do not worry, in one of our blog posts we were talking about the different types stretching and the characteristics of each of them that will help you better organize your stretching sessions in your planning.
