Trainer: Marta Pascual Maestre
Center: FAST Elda
How would you define yourself?
I would define myself as a patient girl, tolerant with people and with many concerns with a view to the future.
How did you get into the FAST family?
I came through contact with people, because I worked in a gym and from meeting the clients I found the FAST center in Elda.
What do you like the most about being part of the FAST coaches?
What I like most about belonging to the coaches is that on the two occasions that I have had to get together with the other teammates, there is a climate of trust and camaraderie, since even though we do not know each other personally, after all, We are all dedicated to the same thing and we have a lot in common and I have no doubt that if I ever needed to clarify anything, I could ask any coach in another city.
Do you do anything else besides FAST?
Apart from working at FAST, I am also studying a master’s degree and preparing for the physical education teaching exams.
In the sports field, I swim 4 days a week, I try to go out with the bike at least two days, if I can not go into some kind of spinning, and also the specific work of complementary strength for my sport I do it at the FAST center
What has been your academic journey to be a qualified professional coach?
I did TAFAD in Alicante, then Physical Education Teaching in Granada, and the career that has allowed me to work here has been the Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sports that I studied in Elche.
What challenge do you face as a coach today?
As a coach, day by day I bring individualized training to my clients so that they are the ones who meet their challenges, since the most important thing is to have the appropriate progression with them so that they meet their goals, taking into account their individual capabilities and characteristics.
What are the past challenges with your clients that have turned into great achievements?
The most significant goals that I have achieved and some clients have achieved with me are more focused on rehabilitation, for example, a woman who had to go to the physiotherapy every week for many neck problems, stopped having the need to go to the physical it didn’t hurt. Another with back problems, especially the lower back, stopped having these pains. A woman with scoliosis began to notice improvements after a month of training with me. A boy triathlete who had a triad did much of the rehabilitation here, speeding up the recovery process …
I name the area of rehabilitation because it seems that it is the least known in our center, and that 90% of the people who come to us are for fitness-beauty reasons, which is the most typical. But the rehabilitation work of people with some discomfort, injury, pathology … is a great challenge for us.
What do you like the most about EMS?
What I like the most about electro is that knowing how to guide the work and the technique of the exercises, combined with the progressive intensity of the stimulus, it is possible to develop in a very effective way the muscles, the physical condition, the state of health …
