In Italy there are several clinics and therapeutic centers in which anthroposophic doctors who are members of the Italian Society of Anthroposophical Medicine ( SIMA ), an officially recognized medical-scientific society which is part of the FISM, is certified ISO 9001, has drawn up the “Guidelines for a Good Professional Practice in Anthroposophical Medicine ”, and applies a four-year training process in accordance with the International Federation of Anthroposophical Medical Associations (IVAA).
The Centro Artemedica is active in Milan , an anthroposophic care clinic based on the enhancement of the human entity in which doctors and therapists work in close collaboration. The Stella Maris Association is also active in Bologna with characteristics similar to the Milanese structure. In Piedmont, a dozen freelance doctors practice anthroposophical medicine.
