The fast 5 food diet
The Fast 5 Food Diet is a diet that is functional to rapid weight loss, but beware. It should not be followed for more than two or three days in a row, to deflate and quickly lose a kilo and a half. As the title suggests, it is a diet that is based on five foods, associated with mainly protein foods with high digestibility. It is an ideal compensation diet for those who have eaten too much or for those who plan to do so.
It is a comfortable diet, which can be used whenever we feel weighted down. Here is the scheme with the variations to follow for a maximum of 3 days in a row.
FAST DIET OF THE 5 FOODS
Rules.
For a maximum of three days it is necessary to take 5 foods with an anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effect , namely lemon, pink or yellow grapefruit (or grapefruit juice), broccoli, ginger, garlic. These foods must never be lacking daily for the duration of the diet, therefore no substitutions are allowed.
Those who cannot find fresh ginger can ask for powdered ginger in herbal medicine or dried root, but you can also find it in supermarkets.
Breakfast.
Herbal tea with lemon juice and ginger.
Boil the peel of an untreated lemon with fresh or dried ginger root (or a teaspoon of powder) for 10 minutes in 500 ml of water. You can also do it the night before. The mixture should be filtered and drunk with a teaspoon of honey for a third of the dose, therefore about 150 ml.
A 25-30 gram slice of wholemeal or durum wheat bread toasted with a teaspoon of jam or apple compote.
One hard-boiled egg or 100 grams of skim white or goat or soy Greek yogurt.
125 grams of apple or pear cooked with cinnamon or peach / plum / kiwi for the same weight.
Sugar-free coffee or tea.
Snack: 200 ml of grapefruit juice or half a pink grapefruit + a cucumber.
Lunch.
40 grams of wholemeal or durum wheat bread with a piece of garlic rubbed on top, cherry tomatoes, oregano and a teaspoon of olive oil. 100 grams of bresaola or veal slice in a pan or 80 grams of grilled tofu.
Salad of raw spinach or valerian with a teaspoon of oil or lemon juice. 2 almonds or a walnut + a fennel seed tea cooked with a small piece of fresh ginger or a teaspoon of powdered ginger for 150 ml of water (no sugar).
Snack. 125 grams of strawberries or blueberries or currants or cherries or 150 grams of melon.
Dinner.
200 grams of broccoli stir-fried with garlic, a little red pepper and a teaspoon of olive oil. If broccoli is not in season it can be frozen.
A large can of natural tuna or one egg omelette + one egg white or 100 grams of cannellini beans / sponge beans.
Salad with chopped celery, chopped cucumber, grated carrot, lemon juice, salt and herbs of your choice or alternatively 200 grams of grilled zucchini or sautéed champignon mushrooms with lemon juice and parsley.
Two slices of pineapple or a prickly pear or a small cooked apple, without peel or two brown rice cakes + a fennel seed tea cooked with a small piece of fresh ginger or a teaspoon of powdered ginger for 150 ml of water + a teaspoon of honey or rice / barley malt.
