How many carbohydrates per day to eat? Here is the geneticist’s test!

How many carbohydrates per day can you eat without gaining weight? It depends.
From two things: on the one hand, from the daily caloric amount of your diet. It is clear that you cannot eat carbohydrates all day long just as in general you cannot overdo many foods without gaining weight. On the other hand, however, there are those who eat a diet high in carbohydrates and do not get fat, those who eat a diet high in carbohydrates and while remaining in normocaloric tends to get fat, suffer from nervous hunger, not get satisfied easily. (better, to be hungry two hours later), to experience sleepiness and bloating after a meal rich in carbohydrates.
This happens because not everyone has the same insulin sensitivity and metabolic flexibility .
In part, it is due to a genetic issue.

This is why I propose a test developed by the geneticist dr. Sharon Moalem , who in an episode of Dr. Oz , explained how in about thirty seconds you can understand how we are metabolically put towards carbohydrates: that is, if we have a high, medium or low tolerance to carbohydrates. This will allow us more easily to determine how many carbohydrates per day to eat, according to the doctor, but also which diet to choose to lose weight. If we have a high tolerance to carbohydrates, we must choose a diet that is high in carbohydrates (and lower in fat, perhaps), such as an 80/10/10 diet, a vegan diet, a diet type “carbohydrate diet” or “high starch solution ”, an Ornish (70% carbohydrates) or Mediterranean diet (60% carbohydrates).

If we have a low tolerance, the diets that will make us lose weight most successfully are the paleo, the ketogenic diet, the low carb diet, the carbohydrate cycling (days without carbohydrates, days with medium carbohydrates, days with high carbohydrates ).
