Good news for all passionate PC builders. In fact , ASUS announced in a press release the new ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards . Both graphics cards are ideally made for VR gaming, and their specifications have been revealed.

Regarding the ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti it has been stated:

ASUS has announced the availability of powerful new virtual reality graphics cards that adopt the latest NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU, with 35% higher performance than the GeForce GTX 1080 model and even faster than NVIDIA Titan X in gaming. . ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti and ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti cards boast exclusive Auto-Extreme technology, which delivers superior quality and reliability, ASUS GPU Tweak II for performance optimization, and XSplit Gamecaster for streaming.

The ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti card has a width of 2.5 slots, with 40% wider surface area to improve heat dissipation compared to standard 2-slot cards. Numerous ASUS technologies that enrich the card’s equipment, including the brand new MaxContact, the first technology in the sector for cooling the GPU with an optimized copper diffuser in direct contact with the graphics chip to improve thermal transfer. MaxContact, together with three 0dB fans with patented dissipation system, guarantees 30% better cooling and triple silence compared to reference cards. The fans offer extreme dust resistance (IP5X standard) to improve reliability and durability. ASUS FanConnect II provides some additional fan connectors (optional) to further optimize system cooling, while GPU Tweak II makes gaming and overclocking even easier while maintaining a host of advanced options intended for more experienced overclockers. With just one click, the new Gaming Booster function maximizes system performance by eliminating redundant processes and allocating all available resources automatically.

The power supply circuit is 10 + 2 phases and there is no lack of ASUS Aura Sync synchronized lighting for complete customization at the RGB LED level. The two HDMI ports implemented are designed for virtual reality and allow the gamer to leave a VR (Virtual Reality) device always connected to the system for a totally immersive gaming experience.

As for the other card instead:

The ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti model, on the other hand, adopts a double ball bearing fan that guarantees greater longevity of the card and offers a fully customizable logo by the player. This card also adopts two HDMI ports designed for virtual reality.

All ASUS graphics cards adopt Auto-Extreme technology – an industry-exclusive, fully automated manufacturing process that uses superior quality materials to set a new standard in construction, performance and durability. Since its introduction on the market, Auto-Extreme technology has improved reliability by 30% and is also environmentally friendly, since it eliminates the use of harsh chemicals and reduces electricity consumption by 50%. .

Both cards feature a premium XSplit Gamecaster license included in the box and valid for one year ($ 99 value), which allows gamers to easily stream or record gaming sessions via a convenient in-game overlay that also displays CPU clock speed, temperature and VRM usage, providing GPU Tweak II control: the user can then choose a gaming profile and increase performance with a single click.
