11 superfoods that help the brain

You may not know it, but there are superfoods that help the brain and which are all part of the Mediterranean diet.
Their protective effects on the brain are scientifically known.

Dr. Lisa Mosconi , author of the book “” Brain Food “has published images of two brain scans of elderly subjects who have followed different diets all their lives. That of a 52-year-old woman who followed a Mediterranean diet and that of a 50-year-old man who followed an American diet.

The differences between the two brains are evident even for those who know little about them.

The human brain has dark, black areas that represent fluid-filled areas that have replaced neurons. The areas of the hippocampus and temporal lobes are more compact and marked in the female brain, less uniform in that of the male.

The doctor explains that, if this does not necessarily mean that all those who follow a Mediterranean diet have a younger and healthier brain after the age of 50, on average it can be said that a healthy Mediterranean diet without consumption and abuse of industrial products keeps the brain young. And in particular, there are superfoods that help the brain not lose its functionality over the years.

In this article we see 11 superfoods that help the brain according to the Mind diet protocol. The Mind Diet is a scientifically proven protocol for reducing cognitive decline and the risk of diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
