The pre-Christmas detox diet

The pre-Christmas detox diet

A doctor who integrates alternative medicine with traditional medicine, Dr. Sonny Viloria, head of the Bio Vital Holistic and Medical Center , explains how to do a pre-Christmas detox diet in a simple and effective way.

And in this article we see it in detail.

But first of all: is doing a pre-Christmas diet worth it?
It depends on the diet.
In fact, too drastic regimes that risk lowering the metabolism are to be avoided. Diets too low in calories increase the risk of nervous hunger and consequent binges, but not only.
If the metabolism is lowered, we are more susceptible to putting on weight, that is, to converting excess calories into fat.

So we can do a pre-Christmas diet, as long as we do it well and only for a few days before the actual holidays.
For example, from the 20th to the 23rd of December, then remaining light until the evening of the 24th.

This pre-Christmas detox diet should therefore be followed for a maximum of 4 to 5 days.
We can then repeat the same pattern from 27 until the evening of 31 December, and again from 2 to 5 January.
In this way, we spend the holidays peacefully and do not take a pound .
Let’s see it in detail.

THE PRE-CHRISTMAS DETOX DIET

Dr. Vilora’s diet includes eighty percent fruit and vegetables, and the rest of the calories are protein and low in fat.
In particular, it is rich in beta-carotene and is based on foods that increase caloric expenditure, allowing us to develop more heat. An increase in temperature corresponds to an increase in metabolism.
In addition, he recommends taking hot (not hot) dishes and helping yourself with hot or lukewarm cups of tea or herbal teas during the day. At the end of the article I will show you a very tasty but exceptional one for a quick detox.
In all, including herbal teas, two liters of water should be drunk a day.
Let’s now see the menu.

PRE-CHRISTMAS DETOX DIET MENU

Breakfast.
A glass of warm water with the juice of half a lemon to drink as soon as it is prepared.
A ripe banana cooked in a small pan with a teaspoon of butter or ghee or almond butter or coconut oil and a pinch of cinnamon. I personally recommend coconut oil or ghee.
A cup of hot unsweetened tea or coffee (ok stevia). For those who do not like banana, an apple or pear cooked in the same way is ok.

Snack.
200 ml of orange juice or 150 grams of tangerines or kiwi or orange or papaya.
A cup of hot sugar-free herbal tea.
The same thing even in the middle of the day.

Lunch.
100 grams of cod, hake, sea bream, baked 50 grams of brown rice or basmati cooked with 300 grams of vegetables of your choice from spinach, chicory, chard, mushrooms, pumpkin, spring onions, Chinese cabbage, zucchini, onions, celery, fennel, radicchio with spices and garlic (not optional) and a teaspoon of oil in all.
As an alternative to fish: 100 grams of turkey or chicken breast or 75 grams of bresaola.

Dinner. To be done soon.
A vegetable cream obtained by stewing one of the vegetables indicated in the lunch always in the quantity of 300 grams raw, with a cup of non-nut vegetable broth and blending everything with a pinch of salt and aromatic herbs plus spices.
100 grams of fresh salmon, natural tuna, shrimp, clams or mussels (net fruit) or squid sautéed with a teaspoon of oil and garlic (not optional), spices and herbs.
3 rice cakes or three clementines.
A cup of herbal tea.

The herbal tea that I recommend for this pre-Christmas detox diet is from HerbFit, and it is a set of herbal teas with various flavors that taste great and perform a purifying action.
