The Poplar diet: three weeks of diet for longevity

It is called ” The Pioppi Diet ” and is a book written by Dr. Aseem Malhotra and the athlete Donald O’Neill, which is based on the diet of the town of Pioppi, in Campania, where what is considered the father and founder of the Mediterranean diet , Ancel Keys , lived for about 28 years starting in the 1950s. However, the Pioppi Diet of Malhotra is not the Mediterranean diet as theorized by Ancel Keys, who lived for over a hundred years: Aseem Malhotra is in fact a cardiologist known for his battle in defense of fats (especially saturated ones) and against carbohydrates . Here, Keys preached the exact opposite , low fat and low carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. The Mediterranean diet that we know in factit is never less than 50-60% of daily carbohydrates . The Pioppi diet is instead the result of the work of two doctors who analyzed the diet of the inhabitants of the village of Pioppi, developing what they consider the true diet for longevity.
In three weeks, they explain, you can improve your health and fitness simply by following these rules. Let’s see it together.
