Amazon , Jeff Bezos’ e-commerce giant , has always distinguished itself from other major global rivals for several factors: an impeccable customer service, an ecosystem that has grown more and more over the years thanks to its devices and also for its speed and efficiency in delivery times. It is not new that Amazon wants to improve more and more what for many is already perfect so, in fact, it seems that there is very little missing from the debut of the new service called Amazon Prime Air . The service, as the name “Air” implies, will use drones to deliver packages to users in very short times (we are talking about hours).

During the Re: MARS conference , which was also attended by Robert Downey Jr., Amazon in fact unveiled a new design of the Prime Air drone, and announced that the first fleets of drones will be able to start delivering packages to consumers within a few months.

The drone can travel up to fifteen miles on a single trip and deliver packages within a weight limit of 2 kilograms; it is able to take off and land vertically and also offers important improvements in terms of efficiency, stability and safety; includes a suite of advanced sensors and deep learning software designed to prevent it from hitting objects while in flight; the landing also provides that the drone has an available area free from people, animals and obstacles that will be perceived through an artificial intelligence algorithm trained to detect them.
