In case of candida, tea tree oil is a very versatile remedy that can be used in several ways: tablets, pessaries, cream and mouthwash. The application is simple and has no side effects.

Tea tree oil for candida

By now we all know the essential oil of tea tree  (tea tree oil) , obtained from Melaleuca Alternifolia . Due to its many properties, it is a remedy to always keep at hand to counteract those small ailments that can ruin our days: canker sores , cold sores , nail and foot fungus , pimples, plaques in the throat and others.

Tea tree oil is also particularly effective in the case of candida , because it also has an antifungal action , as well as antibacterial and antiviral. So let’s see how we can use it to counteract vaginal candida.

What is candida and what are its symptoms

Candida (Candida Albicans) is a yeast that lives in our body (on the oropharyngeal mucous membranes, in the intestine and in the vaginal environment) and prefers sugars .

In conditions of lowered immune defenses, fatigue , stress  or the use of antibiotics, this diner can proliferate and turn into candidiasis , affecting different areas of our body. We can therefore witness vaginal, vulvovaginal candida, thrush in the mouth and throat.

Tea tree candida tablets

It is necessary to counteract the candida from the inside , with tea tree-based remedies.

On the market we can find tea tree tablets to be swallowed on a full stomach to disinfect the body, especially the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat. Their beneficial effect also reaches the intestine , where the proliferation of yeast subsides.

To enhance the spectrum of action, tea tree tablets can be combined with grapefruit seed extract . On the market we can find already combined supplements.

Tea tree oil in ova

In case of vulvovaginal candida it is useful to resort to tea tree oil in ovules , to be placed in the vagina for a direct action that is also carried out on the external vulvar portion. This modality is particularly effective and immediate to soothe the itching and burning caused by candida.

The tea tree oil used in this way has a broad spectrum antifungal and antibacterial activity, without altering the vaginal flora and the pH . There are already packaged eggs on the market , often also enriched with calendula  for a moisturizing and disinfectant effect.

Tea tree oil in cream

The tea tree oil-based cream can be easily created at home or found in herbal medicine: an excellent quality neutral cream is enough to add a few drops of essential oil .

Applied daily after a correct cleansing of the part with a specific cleanser (also enriched with tea tree oil), the cream is very useful in case of vulvar candida . In fact, it represents an excellent protective barrier and helps to counteract intimate itching .

Tea tree oil in mouthwash

Candida in the mouth? You need to rinse several times a day . We can create our antifungal mouthwash : a glass of warm water, a few drops of tea tree oil and that’s it. This simple aqueous composition can be used for rinsing and  gargling .

To enhance its effectiveness, there are mouthwashes with myrrh , another antibacterial disinfectant substance that we can enrich with a few drops of essential oil. The taste will certainly be more pleasant and the effect more immediate.
