Bad news for all VR fans. As we are aware, 2016 was a very meaningful year for the entire VR market . More and more companies are working on the various viewers but, despite the many investments, it seems that this sector in the PC suit is struggling to take off. At least this is what emerged from a survey on Steam . Let’s take a closer look at what happened.
From what emerged it seems that both the months of July and August have marked too low a growth in the acquisition of new users for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift . If we talk specifically about the Valve viewer , this is a growth of 0.3% in July and a flat trend in August. Oculus Riftpoints: it too, a growth of 0.3% in July and 0.1% in August. Unfortunately, this can only mean that people who were actually interested in virtual reality have already bought the headset while the rest of the users are still skeptical of spending so much on a technology still in an experimental phase and with titles that are mostly “experiences” rather than actual games. The news on the affair ends here for today. Stay connected with us to not miss any news.
