Today NVIDIA unveiled its new video cards, namely the  GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti . Building on the latest Ampere architecture , the former will be the successor to the regular RTX 3080 promising 150% of the performance of the previous generation, the RTX 2080 Ti card.

The much anticipated RTX 3080 Ti will be available worldwide starting the day after tomorrow, June 3 , for $ 1,199 . The design and ports are identical, but with a radical difference in power and VRAM. In the latter case, compared to the base RTX 3080 we have 12GB of GDDR6X in total.

The RTX 3080 Ti’s new GPU is as close as there is to an NVIDIA RTX 3090 card , but with half the VRAM. The $ 1200 price tag matches what the manufacturer has requested for the RTX 2080 Founders Edition cards, costing $ 300 less than the colossal RTX 3090.

Clearly you are going to lose 12 gigabytes of VRAM by opting for the RTX 3080 Ti instead of the 3090, as well as that small performance boost for a difference of $ 300. However, the 3090 owes its size to the larger fans , and the RTX 3080 Ti has the same hardware design as the standard 3080.

For that, it will require NVIDIA’s new 12-pin connector . The manufacturer also intends to include an adapter compatible with eight-pin cables. However, that’s not just what the company has to offer PC gaming lovers – there’s another graphics card on the way as well.

We allude to the RTX 3070 Ti , a second GPU coming next week. The card will be available on June 10 for $ 599 , and intends to offer 150% of the performance of the previous RTX 3070 Super. It will also include 8 gigabytes of GDDR6X memory.

Both new cards will support all of NVIDIA’s Ray Tracing, DLSS and Reflex technology. More than 50 games now support Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS stands for), which results in a boost to AI performance in games.

While both new GPUs will be available this month, their availability and price may be subject to change . Everyone has had trouble getting the new RTX 30 series GPUs, and the presence of RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti won’t help.

The shortage of supplies that plagued the PS5 has also affected the chips, and the demands continue to be incredibly high despite these limitations. NVIDIA has already warned consumers about the situation, which will continue this year as well. It will be difficult for everyone to be able to put their hand to new products.
