After being involved in the development of ZX Spectrum Next , Rick Dickinson passed away while undergoing cancer therapy . The disease had plagued him since 2015 and he has recently come back. It was an extremely talented designer who worked on several models of the ZX Spectrum ; unfortunately he will not be able to see the ZX Spectrum Next project materialized .

Among his other most important works there is certainly the collaboration with Alan Sugar on Amstrad’s first portable home computer , the PPC512, but also the Gizmondo portable console and the Lensman microscope in 1991. With great regret, he goes to Rick a warm greeting from all of us at Game Legends.
