Light summer cannoli: only 124 calories each

I must say that the idea for this recipe had come to me too, but I had never found something like this so far. It was by looking online that someone finally thought of light cannoli with an ice cream cone instead of the fried cone typical of cannoli.

This idea allows you to make light summer cannoli, without cooking, to be filled with a pastry bag just before serving.
They are perfect as a light and summer Sunday dessert or as a snack for children (but also for adults, come on) and have only 124 calories each and very little fat.

They are very practical and fast. Just combine the ingredients of the filling, keep it in the fridge and stuff our light cannoli for ten minutes before bringing them to the table.
Here is the recipe.

SUMMER LIGHT CANNOLI: ONLY 124 CALORIES EACH

For 8 light summer cannoli: ingredients

  • 180 grams of light ricotta Santa Lucia (two packs of 90 grams).
  • 170 grams of Fage 0% white Greek yogurt or 200 grams of 0% fat Milbona quark cheese (the latter is better but count 3 more calories per cone).
  • 50 grams of powdered sugar.
  • 50 grams of Perugina dark chocolate chips.
  • 8 small waffles of ice cream cones, or in a cup (like a wafer cone ice cream cup): the latter solution is perfect if you don’t have a piping bag.
Example here: Small glasses of Wafer .
  • The grated zest of half a lemon.
  • 8 candied cherries or 8 candied orange peel.

Method.
Mix the ricotta with the yogurt or quark and keep the mixture to drain overnight.
Incorporate the icing sugar to the mixture (if you want, you can pass them through a sieve) and the grated lemon zest. Add the chocolate chips.
At this point, take the ice cream cones and fill them with a pastry bag with a large nozzle about ten minutes before serving. In this way you will have your light cannoli, very practical and fast, to decorate with a candied cherry. Alternatively, leave the mixture in the fridge, covered with cling film, in the least cold compartment and trying to prepare it for a daily drink.

Alternatively, use a spoon instead of the sac and small cups of waffle. Transfer the mixture to the small glasses, sprinkle with a little bitter cocoa, decorate with the icing.
