How to reduce cravings according to dr. Mosley

How can we reduce the craving for crap?
I know that the term crap will make some people turn up their noses , also because in fact crap doesn’t exist the same for everyone.

But, in general, we consider crap those foods that we cannot always allow ourselves but that we end up eating in excess. There. We can say so. That crap are those foods towards which we cannot say enough.

Whether it’s cookies or chocolate or pizza, if we can’t say enough about these foods, we have a problem. Which can be serious or less serious depending on how much it affects our diet and body shape.

WHY DO WE WANT RUBBISH?

It is incorrect to say, as some say, that the craving for crap actually reveals the needs of the body, deficiencies . Indeed, this can only be partially true .

Our desire for some particular foods is also linked to the pleasure that these foods give us, so much so that we talk about “hedonistic foods”.

And it is also linked to our eating habits and our routine.

  • Let’s take some examples .
  • If you are Neapolitan, it is very likely that your craving for crap is pizza, baba, staple.
It’s hard to think that one day you will wake up with an unstoppable craving for mochi .
Or bread with strawberry jelly and peanut butter.
  • But if you’ve been to Japan and ate mochi, chances are you get the urge.
But it is much more likely that in general what we want and cannot say enough is related to our eating habits.
  • If we have breakfast at the bar every day, it will be easier to feel like croissants .
  • Undoubtedly the body pushes us towards one food or the other even for deficiencies .
  • If we are on a low carb diet it is normal that we dream of grandma’s noodle. If we are on a period, it is normal to have a craving for chocolate, which contains magnesium, copper, and other minerals that we need.

But often these foods have an affective, comforting or routine power over us .
And often it is this mix of feelings or habits that sanctions our addiction.

However, even if there seem to be various reasons now, know that all or almost all of our craving for crap is linked to a single point. Our intestine.
On the contrary. A gut-brain axis.

And now we will understand how to act on this axis thanks to the advice of Dr. Mosley.
