Here’s how to detox in just three days thanks to a holistic diet that we can then carry on in peace with the advice you will read below.

HOW TO DETOX IN A FEW DAYS: THE AYURVEDIC APPROACH

Breakfast:
it begins with a glass of hot water with squeezed lemon and a spoonful of organic honey, rice malt or barley, with a detox and calming effect.
Breakfast should be served from 7.30 to 9, and should include fruit and be plentiful enough not to require mid-day snacks.
For example:

  1. coffee or tea with a teaspoon of sugar. A skimmed Greek yogurt, 250 grams of fruit of your choice, cooked or raw, in pieces, with spices such as cinnamon, cloves in powder, ginger.
  2. unsweetened coffee or tea. A mashed banana with a medium egg and cooked to make two pancakes. A rice cake with a spoonful of apple compote and a spoonful of ricotta.

Lunch: Lunch is the largest meal of the day, as digestive capacity is at its peak in the early afternoon.
It can include meat, fish, eggs and cheeses, carbohydrates from bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, or in the form of a small dessert, a large portion of vegetables. For example

  1. 50 grams of basmati rice with vegetables and pieces of chicken or natural tofu in a pan with a teaspoon of oil. An apple baked in the oven with a cube of dark chocolate inside.
  2. 200 grams of baked potatoes with 50 grams of melted mature cheese or a pound of crumbled feta. A mixed salad with a level teaspoon of oil or vegetables such as chicory and sautéed beets. A skimmed fruit yogurt and a coffee or fruit of your choice.
  3. 50 grams of pasta with 100 grams of legumes drained and sautéed with a teaspoon of oil and mushrooms. A 20 g piece of Parmesan cheese with honey and half a pear. A coffee or a herbal tea.

Snacks : Snacks are not provided on this plan. You can eat a cucumber or a carrot as a hunger breaker, and drink sugar-free herbal teas. This is to let the intestines rest.

Dinner: on the contrary, dinner must be very light and must not be done after eight.
In winter it can include a portion of light minestrone or a vegetable cream obtained by cooking 200 grams of vegetables of your choice and then blending them with a glass of soy or skim milk. A teaspoon of oil and a little Parmesan cheese complete the first course. You can then combine something light, such as a soft-boiled or poached egg, 100 grams of shrimp or other stir-fried seafood, a small vegan burger. A piece of chocolate or fruit or a couple of nuts conclude the meal.

After dinner, the fasting and intestinal rest phase begins.

You go to bed early, preferably at 10.30, with a good book and a warm and soft light, at least a calming herbal tea, such as lemon balm.
