Heal the intestines with the Gut Makeover diet
It’s called Gut Makeover, and it’s a month-long diet to heal the gut , lose weight, and restore good microflora bacteria in greater quantities. This particular diet does not include calories or dosed quantities of foods, but is based on yes and no foods that change from two weeks to two weeks.
Conceived by British nutritionist Jeannette Hyde, who has written two books on the subject, the diet to heal the intestine includes a two-week detox phase that combines intermittent fasting with a diet based on a lot of fruit and vegetables, and makes you lose a lot of weight . In the second phase, other foods are introduced: the basic ones and the optional ones that can be included on the basis of one’s intestinal sensitivity.
THE GUT MAKEOVER DIET TO TREAT THE INTESTINES AND SLIMMING
– Phase one: weight loss and reduction of intestinal irritability, strengthening of good intestinal bacteria.
At this stage there is no fixed menu, but some rules must be respected.
- You eat three meals a day, with no snacks in between
- You fast for a minimum period of 12 hours from dinner to the next breakfast: this allows for the right intestinal rest that makes good bacteria take root
- We eat 3 vegetable dishes (about 700 grams minimum) and 2 fruits per day
- A week from 20 to 30 different varieties of fruit and vegetables are included, changing by color, type, etc.
- Each meal must have a protein food
- To dress, only extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil are used
- Calories are not counted
- It should be chewed slowly
FOODS ALLOWED IN THE FIRST STAGE:
All types of fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, nuts and oil seeds, eggs, olive oil, coconut oil, salt, spices, aromatic herbs, lemon juice or apple vinegar, herbal teas and tea . No other foods are consumed besides these. Not even honey, cocoa, and no baked goods. Dairy products are also excluded and all types of vegetable milk except almond or coconut milk (sugar-free). Accept the coconut flour and almond flour. Stevia allowed for sweetening.
Example.
BREAKFAST: herbal tea or tea without sugar (ok stevia), omelette of two eggs or bresaola, a fruit, a glass of almond or coconut milk without sugar.
LUNCH AND DINNER: a portion of meat or fish (crustaceans and molluscs ok too), two portions of different vegetables, one raw and one cooked, olive oil for seasoning, a tablespoon of oil seeds, a fruit for one of the two meals or 2 walnuts in the other meal. 12 hours must pass
from dinner to breakfast the next morning . At this stage you can only drink water.
In these two weeks, 3 to 4 kilos are lost.
