Can you lose weight by eating? Yes, if instead of the usual dishes we find alternatives that awaken our metabolism and allow us to save calories. The American Huffington Post , in collaboration with some diet and nutrition experts including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, states that there are 24 foods and recipes that, eaten in place of more elaborate snacks and meals, allow us to burn calories better than their higher calorie relatives. In short, the so-called weight loss foods according to this news exist and allow us to lose weight by eating with taste and without dieting. Let’s see which ones.
The porridge, with oatmeal, milk and fruit, eaten for breakfast satisfies us and allows us to have the necessary nutrients so as not to be victims of drops in blood sugar. Scrambled eggs with vegetables are an energy meal but also low in calories compared to a sandwich. Instead of fruit yoghurt, natural yoghurt with fresh fruit . Instead of the usual salad , a plate of raw spinach. Instead of fries , potato salad or mashed cauliflower. And then: goat cheese instead of light cheeses, black coffee instead of cappuccino, an apple and cheese snack or a handful of almonds instead of bars and sweets in the middle of the afternoon. A dietary alternative that I really liked is that of ice cream: instead of ice cream, we eat a frozen banana , a banana that we left in the freezer for three quarters of an hour.
