Fed up with the diet, Christian Bale says enough of certain roles
Actor Christian Bale is either made of rubber or over the years has taken too literally the example of other famous colleagues such as Robert De Niro, Reneé Zellweger and Marlon Brando who have gained weight or lost drastically to play certain roles. We saw him muscular in Batman , emaciated in The Sleepless Man , decidedly overweight in films like Vice , where he was almost unrecognizable. But now we change music, or at least film roles. In fact, Bale said he was fed up with both the slimming and fattening diet undertaken to play a role.
In fact, he recently had to switch from the role of Dick Cheney to that of Ford V Ferrari , shot with actor Matt Damon, losing 35 kilos in a few months. For years, that is, from the lead role in the film The Man Without Sleep, Bale has always said that he has no particular problems losing weight quickly. He simply cuts down on his food, eating only creams of vegetables, broths and canned natural tuna, and changes his training from weight lifting to hours of cardio, such as running. In this way he manages to lose 7-8 kilos a month, and within a season he is ready for a new role. Same thing for when he has to gain weight: no physical activity and a high calorie diet. His ease in losing and gaining weight is legendary, but something has changed, it seems.
