Eczema, natural remedies

Eczema can be an allergic contact reaction or atopic disease if caused by other factors. We can help the skin with some natural remedies that act both topically and from within to rebalance the body.

Eczema, natural remedies

Eczema is  an unpleasant inflammation of the skin, due to contact allergy due to chemically dyed acrylic fabrics, detergents, or in other cases it is atopic eczema due to causes of a different nature, bacterial, climatic.

It manifests itself with redness, itching, blistering and possible peeling of the skin.
To help us we can use natural remedies for both topical and internal use that help us counteract this reaction of our skin.

Aloe Vera gel

We now know that Aloe Vera is a universal remedy for skin problems: sunburn, inflammation, allergic reactions can be soothed and sedated by the Aloe Vera gel.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil , or butter, because it is generally presented in solid form, is a remedy with a thousand virtues. It moisturizes and nourishes the skin, calms redness, removes inflammation and alongside all these soothing properties are the antiviral, antifungal and antimicrobial properties . It is ideal in case of atopic eczema, because in addition to restoring the skin it disinfects it and counteracts the causes of an allergic nature.

Artichoke, Milk Thistle and Burdock

When the skin calls it is because the liver needs it ! Need what? Sometimes to be “lightened”, drained, purified, other times to be strengthened and protected.

The liver friendly herbs are artichoke , milk thistle , burdock , dandelion . In case of allergic dermatitis we can help our liver detoxify itself from the elements that may have caused a reaction of this nature.

Your skin will certainly benefit from it. To use the principles of these herbs in synergy we can use hydroalcoholic extracts : milk thistle, artichoke and burdock together are the right allies for a period of detoxification. We can take them 3 times a day in a glass of water: 30 drops, 10 per remedy to help the body fight eczema even from within.

Ribes Nigrum

The bud extract of black currant is a valid help to be taken in case the eczema may be of an allergic nature. This remedy acts as a cortisone -like , carrying out an anti-inflammatory action and as an antihistamine , rebalancing the immune response of our body in the presence of allergens.

It is advisable to continue taking it even if in remission from the topical reaction, to prolong and complete the dermatological response .
