Dr. Ruscio’s belly deflating diet: low fodmap paleo
It’s called Low Fodmap Paleo and although the name may sound difficult, this belly deflating diet is actually very simple to follow. What it does is combine a paleo-type diet (no cereals, cheeses, legumes) with a diet low in Fodmap foods for intestinal well-being.
Conceived by Dr. Ruscio , an American doctor expert in paleo and ancestral nutrition, the belly deflating diet promises the first results already in the first two to three days.
The ideal is to follow it strictly for 4 weeks, to eliminate intestinal swelling and inflammation, excess fluids and extra pounds. In fact, 5 to 7 are lost per month.
Finally, the Low Fodmap Paleo belly deflating diet has the advantage of not having to dose all foods.
How does it work?
- In the first 4 weeks it is necessary to consume only the foods allowed and follow the food pattern.
- From the fifth week in rotation you can add two of the foods allowed to the scheme plus a wildcard on the weekend which is not strictly Paleo but low in fodmap content.
- After two weeks, 3-4 foods of your choice are allowed.
In the event of an occasional mistake, it is advisable to return to the previous scheme for at least a week.
