DIRECTX 12 ULTIMATE LIBRARIES OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED

Microsoft has officially announced the new DirectX 12 Ultimate libraries, available on both PCs and next generation consoles.

Microsoft has officially announced the new DirectX 12 Ultimate libraries that will “take the place” of the current DirectX 12 . This new version of the libraries will make the difference between the new next generation consoles and PCs even more subtle. This version will have full support for Ray Tracing technology , Variable Rate Shading and Sampler Feedback. This is the summary of the press release:

“The team that has brought you the latest in graphics innovation for 25 years to you on PC and console gamers is delighted to officially announce DirectX 12 Ultimate, the best graphics technology for an unprecedented settlement among PCs. and consoles (Xbox Series X). “

In fact, the new technology will be used both in the new Microsoft console and in the latest generation PCs. The libraries will be supported by AMD video cards based on the RDNA 2 architecture and on Nvidia GeForce RTX series 20. The update that will include the new libraries in the currently existing PCs will be the 20H1 , the first and important update of this new year 2020 which will be released within a few months.
