Diet pills, they approve Contrave, the “almost” safe drug

liver supplementtalked about it a short time ago , when Contrave , the result of a research based on the idea of combining two old drugs that already gave non-negligible side effects ( bupropion and naltrexone , respectively an antidepressant and a drug to avoid getting into drug addiction and alcohol), was reproduced by Orexigen and then passed to the sieve (apparently for the fourth time in ten years !!!) by the Food and Drug Administration. Well, the Contrave did it . Although all doubts have remained about this drug which has various side effects as a mix of the previous two drugs, this combined weight loss pill with a hunger-blocking effect has been considered almost safe even by the FDA,but he had already rejected it three times. I would love to know what has changed, but unfortunately I already know, it just doesn’t convince me much: the FDA allowed the drug to be marketed as long as all the side effects were well expressed on the label (or perhaps the leaflet?) . from cardiovascular risks to induction of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in patients.
Gimme five!
And sadly, the ones who will find out will be the patients suffering from obesity, who will see it being foisted by their doctors.
Not that the FDA approves weight loss pills all the time, but that’s no reason to cheer on Contrave., which will be marketed starting next year but will peak in sales by 2016 (these sales prospects scare me, don’t you?)
