Through an official press release, today Asus announced the new components compatible with the new Aura RGB technology and with the customizable parts to be printed with your 3D printer . These new components are designed to give users new customization options, allowing them to better express their style, while giving the ability to improve the performance, functionality and aesthetics of their PC .Aura consists of nine RGB LEDs that can be programmed to create color effects between the motherboard and graphics card, while the 3D parts will include custom nameplates, fan mounts and covers for motherboard, SLI Bridge and cables. Interchangeable parts will also be available for the gaming keyboard, ROG Claymore  and, for the gaming mouse, ROG Spartha .
Visitors to the ROG booth, inside the recent Gamescom , were able to observe the potential of these new components inside a water-cooled PC by the great Alexander Hede , the man known as the Finnish ace of the modding community . His design gave gamers and modders a preview of what a pro can do with the new Aura lighting and 3D printable components.
Below I present the new components that will exploit the aforementioned technologies:
- ROG 3D MOD: The ROG 3D MOD  is a water-cooled structure that features Aura RGB lighting technology and interchangeable parts to create with your own 3D printer. The nine programmable light effects can be synchronized with the LED bands available on the Rog Rampage V edition 10 motherboard and with the ROG Strix 1080 graphics card . These light effects will be visible on the outside of the case thanks to a grid positioned in the front panel. and a 10th anniversary ROG logo , created specifically with a 3D printer.
- Asus Z170 Pro Gaming / Aura:Â this motherboard will contain several components printed with 3D printer that will guarantee, in addition to greater performance, an almost infinite customization by the user.
- Covers for SLI Bridge: As mentioned before, Asus will give you the possibility to print the covers for your SLI Bridge with your 3D printer . In this way you can improve the appearance of your multi-GPU by creating covers with your customized designs.
- ROG Claymore Keyboard:Â This mechanical keyboard will feature side protection panels and fully customizable dust covers through your 3D printer.
- ROG Spartha Mouse:Â Unlike the original panel of this mouse which offered a wider grip and a system for resting the ring finger, the new printable cover will offer a slimmer design suitable for the more savvy gamer.
In the coming weeks , Asus will release several pre-compiled 3D models on its website , so that even less experienced users in 3D design can customize their components with the help of a 3D printer. In case you need more information you can find it directly on the dedicated Asus page .
