What diet to follow in case of diverticulitis?
What kind of diet? They say you shouldn’t use whole grain products , as they can irritate the intestines . I use a high quality wholemeal pasta, in which the fiber present has been chopped at the same level as the grain, reduced like flour. There are products on the market in which the fiber is present in a rough way, and I understand that such a product can create problems, and I think it is related to the size of each single fiber present. But in my case I don’t think there are any problems. What do you think about it. I would also like to know how to clean up the intestine in case of diverticulitis , which is the most effective system? More generally cures for this situation. Thank you

Nutrition in general must be meticulously taken care of, trying to select foods wisely, perhaps with the help of a good nutritionist or dietician, making him aware of the pathology. Among the natural products I can indicate those containing FOS fibers, more precisely fructolysaccharides; which do not irritate the mucous membranes and can be used in any condition of the colon. A very good plant is the vaccinium vitis idaea, which keeps the intestinal mucous membranes inflamed, and to keep the bacterial flora high, a supplement of pre and pro biotics. It is not a good thing to use any laxative, even natural, except those that act by osmosis.

Hello, this is what I would like to advise you: regularly take enzymes and help yourself with magnesium or manna to evacuate. Drink plenty of non-carbonated water, exercise (walking, cycling) help peristalsis and circulation, plus no spicy spices, coffee and pure chocolate (it has a strong irritant capacity for the intestine with a tendency to make it more difficult evacuation), avoid fruits with seeds, eg. kiwi and strawberries or figs (better to centrifuge if you don’t want to give them up), remove the seeds from the tomatoand still don’t eat dry, limit flaming meats and baked goods, also avoid fried foods. It is true that wholemeal does not help but refined eating is not the best! They can be favorable: ricotta, rice and semolina, vegetables such as carrots and potatoes, fish and yogurt, extra virgin oil and linseed oil in the dressings. It is very important to chew slowly to cut the food as much as possible. Sincerely!
