Vegan diet for weight loss: this is how a man loses 50 kg.
Before I am accused of encouraging everyone to veganism, or vegetarianism, I specify my diet: I eat meat once a week, usually two by counting the cured meats. I consume cheeses and dairy products, eggs, I love fish, I eat a lot of vegetables, legumes, fruit. They are the prototype of the omnivore , in the diet. I’m sure eating too much meat is bad , and I’ve read a lot of research to that effect, not only on meat but also on dairy products (due to casein). And I doubt that if a hundred independent researches say that the consumption of animal proteins (of too many) is bad for your health, while two or three bestsellers misread the data ( see Dr. Ornish’s criticism of those who spoke of eating meat everyday) preach to start the day with bacon and eggs, the former are all conspiracy theorists and the latter the only smart people who have understood how the world works . Obviously that’s my opinion.
However, I find laudable the case of a man, this man, Benji Kurtz , who, obese all his life and humiliated as a result, so much so that he could not even dress in a normal shop, managed to lose fifty kilos in a year. with the vegan diet . In the face, I would say, of those who say that whole grains and legumes make you fat or are not good for the “real man”, I invite you to take a look at his site, not to become vegan or vegetarian, but to become real omnivores. Because, and I will never tire of repeating it, food variety is one of the ways to stay fit forever.
