Vanilla oat cream: the recipe for breakfast

 

A recipe that I really can’t resist and that is often part of my breakfast is this vanilla oat cream, which is a creamy porridge that is prepared in no time and that must be made the night before for the morning after.

In the morning you just need to warm it up or, as I do, eat it as it is.
I make it in two variants, one more protein and one more natural and vegan.
And they are both very good. But that’s not all: this oat cream is really very satiating, it removes the desire for sweet and eliminates hunger. It is also full of soluble fiber, protein and carbohydrates but is very low in fat.
Here’s how to do it.

OAT CREAM WITH VANILLA: RECIPE ONE

400 ml of skimmed milk (two full glasses)
40 grams of whole oat flakes
half a tablespoon of MyProtein whey protein in creme bruléé or pastel de Nata flavor or other whey protein in vanilla flavor
(in the second case the taste will resemble that of a custard)
a pinch of salt
a teaspoon of brown sugar

Heat the milk with the teaspoon of protein and the oat flakes and cook, stirring often with a spoon until boiling. At this point add the pinch of salt and continue boiling for about 5 minutes. Turn off, let it cool for a few minutes and add a teaspoon of brown sugar. Cover with a lid (it will look a little liquid) and store it at room temperature. The next day, enjoy it with a spoon without heating it: it will have become very creamy!

OAT CREAM WITH VANILLA: VEGAN RECIPE

400 ml soy milk with vanilla Soyade or Provamel brand
40 grams of whole oat flakes
two teaspoons of brown sugar
half a jar of soy yogurt or vanilla-flavored rice
a pinch of salt
The procedure is the same but without the protein powder . The next day, serve it with two tablespoons of soy yogurt or rice and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Kcal 358.

Tip: do not prepare the cream at the moment, it needs a night’s rest because the viscous fibers of the oat break down, create microfilaments that are very good for our intestine and which are very delicate, therefore they are destroyed in cooking (thermolabile) . Do it the night before and keep it at room temperature.
It is in fact a perfect recipe in winter.
