The president of Agcom Marcello Cardani , during a hearing at the Transport Committee in the Chamber, took stock of the situation regarding the diffusion of 5G in our country. In particular, he focused on the issue of electromagnetic emissions that cause concern to many users and on the possible effects they may have on human health and on the environment.

Cardani specified that the 5G technology causes much less electromagnetic pollution than the old 2G / 3G / 4G technologies and also stated that many speculations regarding the matter are completely unfounded:

“Unfounded and denied by the limits of other countries and denied by the opinion of doctors, physicists and engineers. Technology is absolutely not dangerous, according to highly qualified opinions ”.

Cardani, in addition to affirming that electromagnetic pollution is present but considerably reduced than in the past, specified that these values ​​are much lower than the pre-established standard: “the limits are light years away from true levels of the beginning of the danger”. Basically, the number one of AGCOM announced that in Italy the limits imposed are significantly lower than in other European countries.

Concluding with the issue of network security, according to the president’s words, the problem is of an ” unsolvable ” type. Basically, he says, we only have to choose who to be spied on, whether by the Americans or by the Chinese since, at the moment, our country does not have the potential to be able to support itself only with its own strength.
