This year is its year: AMD arrives with its highly anticipated brand new Ryzen processors , which will hit the market alongside the Intel competition. Pre-orders have been officially opened but all eyes are on the so-called “Tech Day”, which will take place at the 2017 Game Developers Conference on February 28th. For the first reviews instead you will have to wait for the first availability on the market.

AMD’s desire to return to the great in the high-end is really why it will immediately aim at the top: here are the announced models.

• Ryzen 7 1700X: 8C / 16T, 3.4 GHz base, 3.8 GHz turbo, 95W, $ 399
• Ryzen 7 1700: 8C / 16T, 3.0 GHz base, 3.7 GHz turbo, $ 329

The flagship model will be Ryzen 7 1800X, an eight-core, sixteen-thread processor. The base clock is 3.6 GHz, while the frequency reaches 4 GHz thanks to the turbo mode. AMD therefore also seems to have overcome us, despite in fact the previous declarations, an improvement of the instructions processed with a clock cycle of 52% has been achieved , a very high percentage. Will it be the right time to put the spanner in the works on the other side? As we know, however: between the two litigants, the consumer enjoys!
