The manager’s diet inspires his employees
Manager Sandeep Aggarwal, head of two major online marketing companies including Droom, one day decides to put his head right and solve his overweight problem.
Not knowing that his decision would lead to a radical change in his lifestyle.
So much so that the manager’s diet indirectly affected the overweight employees of his companies.
And not just them. The office environments themselves have ended up being revolutionized for the better.
Imagine employees in a large company, forced to work at a desk.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have spaces where those who want can do physical activity, walk on a treadmill, take a break from a sedentary lifestyle? Or have canteens with more healthy dishes?
This is what happened to the employees of the Sandeep companies.
The manager went on a diet after years of sedentary lifestyle had made him gain weight by 25 kilos. So he hired a personal trainer and trained five times a week.
He went back to running and then cut down on junk food with the help of a nutritionist, eating salads with chicken or fish for lunch, fruit snacks, breakfast with toast and an egg white omelette, light dinner with a soup or a ‘salad.
The result was that he lost more than 30 pounds, and the amazed employees followed his example. In six months, many of them lost weight by moving more and having proof that even by working all day they could organize themselves to have healthy meals.
But the boss, after seeing that he was a source of inspiration, decided to make it easier for his employees who wanted to slim down the task .
And so in each of his companies he created a gym, revolutionized the canteen with a special sector for fruit, vegetables and healthy meals, created yoga and zumba classes for lunch or after work.
All without making them spend a penny.
Here’s how the manager’s diet was an opportunity for free change for so many others.
