The dietetic and gluttonous chocolate and cherry biscuits
Diet biscuits, tasty and simple: a biscuit has just under one hundred calories (94), fifteen grams of carbohydrates, one and a half grams of protein: among the ingredients, oat flakes and dehydrated fruit make these biscuits perfect for breakfast (as long as you eat one or two at the most with a yogurt) or for a healthy snack, even before going to sleep. They are also low on the glycemic index, with few simple sugars. Let’s see the recipe:
Diet chocolate and cherry biscuits: the recip
45 grams of Fiberpasta type flour (if you can’t find it, the normal one is ok )
45 grams whole wheat flour
a cup and a half of oat flakes
a teaspoon of baking soda
half a teaspoon of salt
60 grams of butter
80 grams of brown sugar
(also perfect ‘erythritol : in this case 100 grams are fine, but remove 30 calories per biscuit!)
a cup of dehydrated cherries (cranberries or blacks are also good)
vanillin or vanilla flavoring
80 gr of extra-dark chocolate at least 75% reduced to small pieces
an egg beaten
a little bit of oil or butter for the pan
Mix all the dry ingredients (the first five) in a bowl. Separately, soak the dehydrated cherries in warm water for at least ten minutes, then drain and dry them with a cloth or paper towels (this will eliminate the excess sugars in the dried fruit). In another bowl, mix the previously melted butter with the sugar, then pour this mixture into the flour and oat mix, add the beaten egg, cherries, chocolate, vanilla. In a pan with lightly oiled parchment paper, pour the mixture in spoonfuls with a distance of 4-5 cm between one and the other. In all, you should have 30 biscuits. So 30 spoonfuls.
Put the pan with the biscuits in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12 minutes. Before removing them from the pan, let them cool for another 3 minutes.
