Supplement intolerance: how to behave?

Supplement intolerance: how to behave?

I have been following a vegan diet for just over a year, bringing fresh and varied food to the table. The blood count from last September showed b12 106ng / L (191-663). In agreement with my doctor I resorted to the administration of a supplement but the onset of heavy side effects (palpitations, abdominal cramps and intestinal discharges) made me desist from continuing. I tried another supplement (always cyanocobalamin) but the result was just as bad. Both were not tolerated even at minimal doses. Same complaints also with a folic acid supplement (in view of a possible pregnancy). Is it possible that it could be an intolerance to synthetic vitamins? Is there an exam to accept it? How else to secure the contribution?

First check the quality of the type of supplements you are taking. You can find everything around, but also very serious brands with extremely high quality products. I cite for example Solgar, Nature Most, Nature’s plus to give examples. If you have already tried these brands you can try supplementation with microalgae such as chlorella or spirulina which are usually well tolerated. However, since it is an important supplementation, they must be taken gradually increasing the quantity because they can have detoxifying effects that could initially cause some “disturbance”

To check if a supplement is suitable for you and well tolerated, there are several methods that holistic medicine doctors use. I personally use the kinesiological test (applied kinesiology) but there are other methods, always used in holistic medicine, which use electronics and acupuncture points (vega test, EAV, etc.). However, it is essential to consult an expert doctor because these methods are often used even by laymen with disappointing results which then make them lose faith in them.

There are supplements and supplements. For example, we use pure raw material, without adding synthetic vitamins or dry extracts, completely eliminating the possibility of allergic manifestations or intolerances. Obviously you can also be allergic to plants but not to a quality supplement
