After years of rumors and speculations, Samsung has finally officially talked about the much desired foldable smartphone . It has been in fact for some time that users fantasized about this device which, after a video concept leaked online in 2013, which you can see at the top of the article, has never made anyone know anything about itself.

Recently, however, the CEO of Samsung’s mobile division, DJ Koh , stated that the foldable smartphone will be equipped with a large screen and multitasking functionality and defined it as a true pocket tablet .

When we release a foldable phone, it needs to be meaningful to our customers. If the device does not live up to our standards, it will be better not to offer this type of product. It is currently a niche market, but I believe it will expand. I am convinced that the market needs a foldable phone.

Furthermore, during an interview, DJ Koh would have hinted that we are very close to an official announcement and that it could take place during the  opening keynote of  the next Samsung Developer Conference, which will be held on  November 7th .
