Renew yourself with Lambertucci’s Fast and Relax Diet
Rosanna Lambertucci has published a brand new book for Mondadori types . It is called “ THE FAST & RELAX DIET . The innovative method to quickly lose weight without stress and strengthen the immune system “and as for the other books, is the result of a collaboration with various health professionals.
The novelties of this diet are two:
- it is a flexible path, with weeks of a low calorie diet to quickly achieve results and more relaxed weeks, in which meals are planned to give us energy and well-being with more foods.
This alternation, which lasts a total of 5 weeks, allows you to lose weight without slowing down the metabolism but feeling alive and vital. - The other big news is the focus on the immune system and aging.
The purpose of the book is not just to give a diet. Instead, through better habits, natural supplementation tips, detox water recipes and tricks for not gaining weight after special occasions in which we eat more, to nourish ourselves to live better.
How? By strengthening the immune system through a healthier lifestyle, this also coincides with getting rid of excess weight.
In fact, in this book we find the advice of Dr. Gloria Taliani, an infectious disease specialist in Italian civil protection, and who explains how to strengthen the immune system with nutrition and self-care.
While the dietary part is handled by Dr. Corrado Pierantoni, clinical nutritionist, endocrinologist and diabetologist.
THE FAST & RELAX DIET: WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
As I said, Rosanna Lambertucci’s new path includes 5 weeks to renew herself inside and out.
Two weeks of more restrictive diet called Fast to unblock metabolism, one week of more lax diet called Relax to maintain results, one week Fast and then again Relax.
In this article we will see a sample day of the Fast week, a sample day of the Relax week and the famous “day after the sgarro”, a day to get back on track after we ate something more for a dinner out or with friends.
Obviously the book is much more than the dietary part, as always in the case of Lambertucci’s texts.
Here, the journalist has truly surpassed herself: the book is a mine of do-it-yourself tips for regaining well-being and fitness according to the advice of the various experts consulted.
There are hydration tips, purifying water recipes, supplementation, low-calorie but very tasty sweet and savory recipes, tips for recovering circadian rhythms, treating sleep and increasing the immune system.
THE EXAMPLE MENUS OF THE FAST & RELAX DIET
EXAMPLE DAY OF THE FAST WEEK
For the Fast day of the week I chose examples that did not include the recipes in the book.
Beware, however, that the book contains many recipes also to make the fast days more greedy and less stressful, which are the most restrictive and with fewer carbohydrates. For example a light cheesecake for breakfast. In addition there are also versions of savory breakfasts.
Upon awakening
1 glass of warm water with lemon drops or 1 glass of detox flavored water of your choice.
Sweet breakfast (10/15 minutes later)
Espresso coffee or Green tea or Infusion to taste
A glass of partially skimmed lactose-free milk or one of oat milk or other vegetable milk or 1 low-fat lactose-free and sugar-free plain yogurt or vegetable yogurt white without sugar.
50 grams of rye bread with 1 teaspoon of sugar-free jam and a tablespoon of cow’s milk ricotta or 4 dry sugar-free biscuits. Alternatively 3 wholemeal rusks without sugar with jam or jam without sugar or with a layer of butter and some pine nuts.
Snack.
A cup of green tea or 1 glass of detox flavored water of your choice, plus a lactose-free and sugar-free low-fat white yogurt or 3-4 slices of bresaola.
Lunch
100 g of turkey breast or grilled turkey breast. Salad of valerian and kiwi slices dressed with extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt.
