Starting from the OPPO brand , the reality of Realme has continued to establish itself day after day thanks to several successful smartphones released over the years. This is a series ready to be enriched by the arrival of another phone, which takes the name of Realme X50 . Aiming at the mid -range , the well-known company wanted to patent a system that could compete with the best devices in the industry, passing from the hardware and arriving at all the dedicated features. Nonetheless, the goal was to ensure that the price did not rise that much, especially considering the Realme X50 Pro model already on the market as a reference.for some time. So let’s find out if the goal has been successfully achieved, analyzing the potential of the device and its possibilities, together with obviously the defects and limitations that accompany the system.
Solid and colorful
The first contact with the Realme X50 is certainly surprising already on the visual level, given the really impactful Jungle Green and Ice Silver versions , which give a colorful and pleasant back of the product – even if at the same time sufficiently elegant. Fortunately, there is not only the smartphone in the package, since to accompany it we find a Type C cable and a charger, a protective film and a cover. The device has well-accentuated curves in the corners , and all in all a rather standard and solid shape, just like the rest of the system. The lack of the jack is now inevitable , certainly a negative point for those who are still used to audio products that are now often considered obsolete.
The device is promoted with flying colors for its system and display, solid and of quality like the battery, despite the unfortunate lack of the jack.
The operating system is based on Android 10 , and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor , fully compatible with 5G technology and with all types of connections prior to it. The speed of the system is also guaranteed by the Adreno 620 GPU , perfect for every user’s need. As for the memory, we find two different configurations sold separately. The first of these offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM , while the second adds 2GB of RAM to the total up to 8GB . We specify that it is not possible to insert additional SIMs other than the first, and therefore the memory is consequently not expandable. The battery that powers the device contains a total of 4200mah , and can be charged in about 55 minutes , thanks to a patented system that significantly speeds up the process. The display is undoubtedly a well-centered shot, given that we are faced with a panel with a size of 6.57 inches curved in the corners, which supports the surprising 120Hz , a dedicated feature for users who want unbelievably fluid images. The resolution is configured as Full HD + since we are talking about a 2400 × 1080 in 20: 9 , and everything is protected by the patented Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology. Apart from mere technical specifications, the screen is extremely clear and defined , and allows users a perfect adaptation. In fact, the Vivida versions are available , for a more breathtaking color rendering, and Gentile , for a more realistic and clear glance, especially as regards contrasts.
Excellent results for the Realme X50
As already mentioned, the system is solid in itself and able to compete with much more expensive configurations, thanks above all to the various features that accompany the hardware present. Starting from the possibilities of the connections we are already faced with various optimizations of the connections, especially as regards the wifi acceleration aimed at heavily reducing the latency during use . For its part, 5G is fully compatible with the device, but all other networks are also able to be perfectly optimized, thanks to the continuously adapting system.according to user needs. In fact, there is an artificial intelligence capable of detecting the best frequencies for the connection, which therefore allows a continuous switch to maintain the greatest possible stability.
Even the camera sector has certainly not been neglected in the construction of the Realme X50, as 6 of these are present in the device, and offer excellent quality from all points of view. On the front we find a 16mp and a 2mp with HDR , compatible with slow motion, and patented to turn on during use. The back is instead composed of a quad camera with 48MP , capable of reaching the output resolution of 8000 × 6000 . The AI has been patented to guarantee several interesting functions related to photographs.
The various software implementations of the system are all well applied, and crown a hardware that is already successful in itself
In fact, we find an optimization of portraits, shots from near and far , obviously in real time, as well as the technology of Super Nightscape 3.0 . Taking a cue and evolving the previous version – 2.0 – this is used to guarantee perfect photos in night environments, with extreme scarcity of light. Although the result is not perfectly compliant with the premises, we can be more than satisfied even in this area. The Realme system also integrates proprietary software for daily use. To begin with, we have an artificial intelligence dedicated to the categorization and arrangement of photos and videos , but we also find the envied Soloopfor fast and immediate editing, plus extremely easy to master. On the audio front, the phone fortunately managed to surprise us , thanks to a certified speaker with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Sound Quality technology . For those who have noticed the lack of the fingerprint sensor, we have good news, this is practically invisible but more efficient than ever . The same is in fact positioned on the ignition key, and therefore allows the device to be unlocked extremely quickly for the owner, thus making it invisible and comfortable.
