Finally yesterday we had the long-awaited details on the release and price of PlayStation VR, but how will the market react to this new device? For now PlayStation 4 dominates the console market, and Xbox One is still lagging behind in sales and apparently the release of the Sony headset will push that advantage even further. Talking about the topic is Ben Shachter , a famous analyst at  Macquarie Securities who estimates that the device could be able to sell 8 million units in about two years given its low price compared to other VR headsets. These are the words of Shachter :

“Sony has launched several consoles over the past 20 years. Knows how to move with retailers, developers, publishers and so on. He also knows how to deliver experiences that users love. While HTC and Facebook are worrying about the use of VR across social, entertainment and business, PlayStation is focusing only on games and entertainment. Having Star Wars Battlefront as a VR exclusive is very positive and underscores Sony’s gaming experience.
