There are never certainties regarding the rumors on the net, however in the past few hours the Chinese site MyDrivers seems to have unusually placed faith in the latest speculations on the release date of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti . The source in question has in fact stated that “it is almost certain that the RTX 3080 Ti will be released around mid-April” and, if this proves to be false, it should be ready anyway in the fall. Right now, it seems very likely that the GPU will be on NVIDIA’s roadmap this year, however apparently in a very different guise than the 20GB version that was recently planned.
Apparently, the latter would have been discarded by the manufacturers as soon as the new AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6900 XT cards were released . The latest spec rumored for this RTX 3080 Ti brings the same 12GB of VRAM to the public as the recently launched GeForce RTX 3060, however GDDR6X graphics memory would be used instead . It also appears that the GA102 core will come with 10,240 CUDA cores compared to the 10,496 that were initially suggested on the web. Needless to say, however, at the time of the officer we know very little, so we strictly invite you to take all this information strictly with a grain of salt.
Since NVIDIA’s Collete Kress has said in the past that “starting with the 3060, we are taking an important step to maximize the offer of GeForce GPUs for gamers,” we can probably expect new cards with Ethereum hash rate limiters coming out during the course of the year. A release date set for mid-April would also make sense, as there will be more than six months from Ampere’s original launch, and this would be a great time for NVIDIA to launch a new $ 999 graphics card. Beyond that, did you know that a new NVIDIA gaming GPU may have recently been leaked ?
