The well-known MIUI system developed by Xiaomi is ready to receive a substantial update, which will arrive at the end of June for 5 devices, and subsequently for the others, despite beta testing it will be available as early as next week. We are talking specifically about MIUI 12 , which was explored today through an official Xiaomi conference. It is an operating system patented by the same company and open-source, which takes Android as a basis to change the cards however. Without getting lost in small talk, however, let’s see what the company recently presented.
After a brief presentation on the evolution of MIUI, we were able to witness the news of MIUI 12. The first news concern the animations of the system at the Kernel level, restructured compared to the current version available. New technologies have been applied to improve the lighting experience, which will cover more sides of the screen. Thanks to MIUI 12, applications will transform in real time from small icons to larger interfaces, up to covering the entire screen.
The new physical engine allows to obtain different answers based on where the user’s touch will be located, obtaining three-dimensional movements. The new weather application will allow you to take a look at the sky directly from the screen, directly through the constantly updated icon with the weather forecast. The same will happen for further apps such as the alarm clock, which will now update starting from the specific icon. All system apps will also receive improvements to make the user interface more realistic.
A great feature concerns the inclusion of the planet Mars, or rather its surface, in continuous movement on the screen. This is a really interesting little gem, but obviously not mandatory for all users. The same also happens for the Earth, which also in this case can be explored from the phone according to the various screens, and will change in real time with the passing of the hours. The conference then focused on the new features of the system.
There was therefore room for the new minimization function, which allows you to shrink some apps like that of the phone, in order to have a broader view of what is happening on the phone. The new floating windows will have a similar function, allowing you to open apps such as messages simply by superimposing and reducing them, and then placing them in the part of the screen you prefer, a real revolution in multitasking! As for the battery, the Ultra Battery Saver has been introduced, capable of increasing the duration of the remaining charge up to 5 times. Furthermore, the new MIUI 12 system will fully support Dark Mode.
The conference also provided space to talk about the very important Privacy, which will be further respected thanks to icons that will report the use of the position, microphone and camera in the background. This will also be guaranteed by the possibility of providing partial permissions to apps only for certain occasions, thus revoking them frequently.
In short, a sea of news from the Chinese company, which among other things recently presented the POCO F2Pro flagship, of which you can find our in-depth analysis at the following link .
