How to make a diet muesli at home

mueslifattonicasaGranola would be a great food, if only it didn’t have too much hidden sugar and oils, fats, salt and puffed grains – these are the things that make muesli you can find at the supermarket a little health trap. In fact, in packaged muesli you will find these ingredients absolutely useless in a real muesli, and above all harmful to health: sugar, modified starch, vegetable oil, wheat flour, rice flour, corn flour, barley flour, rice syrup, malt or malt syrup, salt, skim milk, bicarbonate, caramelized cereals, palm oil, sunflower oil, fructose. Some of these ingredients have a high glycemic index or are fat or are three or four different ways of calling refined salt and additives.
There will certainly be brands with only muesli in muesli, but I don’t know them. Making the comparison between the brands of the supermarket and those of the bio in which I use, the result was chilling. At this point, make your own muesli at home. It’s simple, it’s obviously more expensive than normal muesli, but you can make it fresh for a week each time and until you run out of ingredients you can do it again ten times! In short, the expense is initial but it pays off much more. So here is a recipe for a diet muesli! 2 cups rolled oats half cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts two tablespoons coarsely chopped almonds half cup mixed oil s

(pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are already fine)
half a cup of dehydrated unsweetened fruit of your choice (apples, bananas, apricots, red fruits: check that they are not added with oil or sugar)
three tablespoons of honey
half a cup of raisins without sugar
a tablespoon of flax seeds
a nice pinch of whole salt
three tablespoons of coconut flour
cinnamon to taste or vanilla extract
two tablespoons of peanut butter or hazelnut butter (alternatively: two tablespoons of coconut oil)
two tablespoons of unsweetened apple juice
dark chocolate chips to taste and optional
if you want a muesli in larger pieces, add two egg whites to the mixture.
The oven should be heated to 150 degrees, it is good to use a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. In a saucepan pour the honey, peanut butter, spices, heat over medium heat, and when everything is well melted, turn off and pour into the bowl. Mix everything very well, add the beaten egg whites, pour the mixture on the pan in an even layer, put in the oven for about twenty minutes.
Once cold, it can be kept in an airtight jar.
