How to lighten hair naturally
Natural remedies to use for compresses and rinses that enhance the light shades.
Lighten your hair without damaging it
Giving a touch of honey to naturally light brown hair, making the blonde even more luminous and brilliant, or giving golden reflections to ash-colored hair: the desire to lighten hair unites many women, to bring a little sun, light and vitality around to your face.Generally, hair naturally lights up in summer, when it is subject to the action of chlorine in the swimming pool, salt water from the sea and above all to the sun’s rays that degrade melanin . The side effect of this natural “bleaching”, however, is a dry and dehydrated hair. However, there are some natural do-it-yourself treatments   to lighten hair without damaging it.These are lightening grandmother’s remedies, often  based on chamomile , or which use naturally lightening ingredients and foods , such as beer, neutral henne or cassia, turmeric , saffron , ginger ,  lemon  and honey .
Obviously these remedies to lighten the hair only work on already light hair which can give lighter or warmer reflections than the natural color.
Chamomile to lighten hair
Perhaps the best known and most popular method to lighten hair naturally is to rinse with chamomile tea. To prepare it, simply add a tablespoon of chamomile heads every 200 milliliters of boiling water , leave to infuse for thirty minutes and then use the infusion as a rinse after shampoo.
To give even more brightness to the hair, it is possible to add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the infusion , an ingredient with an acid pH that closes the scales of the hair, making it softer and shinier.
After performing the lightening rinse for your hair, you can let it dry in the sun, for an even more evident effect. The treatment can be repeated one or more times a week to obtain more evident light reflections.

Lemon juice for lighter hair
Lemon juice, rich in citric acid , can also help lighten hair. It is used diluted in water , to be sprayed on the lengths of the hair and left on for about 20 minutes and then rinsed with water.
This is a remedy that should not be overused as it can significantly dry out the hair in the long run.
Honey for warm reflections
Wraps with honey, olive oil and turmeric , left on the hair covered with a cap or towel for at least an hour, can help lighten hair naturally .
After laying, the hair should be washed and rinsed very well to eliminate any residue.
Henne, the golden dust
Neutral henna powder can give golden highlights to dark blonde or light brown hair and, at the same time, make hair shinier, softer and healthier looking.
For even more noticeable reflections, turmeric can be added to the henna and  the pack can be prepared with chamomile infusion.
Lighten your hair with beer
A grandmother’s remedy for lightening hair – widely used in the past – involves the use of lager beer .
If you want to try it, you can put yourself upside down by placing a basin under your hair and pour a can of light beer at room temperature over your hair.
The beer that has fallen onto the basin can be retrieved with the hands and massaged into the hair and scalp several times. To eliminate residues, proceed by washing the hair as usual, with shampoo and conditioner.
