How to get a slimming smoothie in 5 steps!
Summer time.
Time for refreshing drinks, time to make a quick smoothie with the many varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables that make you want simple dishes without a stove, and things that we can easily take away and consume outside, on the beach or in the cool.
Like a nice half-liter bottle with a freshly made smoothie, which we can sip on the beach to have a leaner figure by effectively replacing a meal.
But, for DIY lovers like myself, how can we get a slimming smoothie with the one we like best?
Here are the 5 things to keep in mind! After that, green light to the imagination.
HOW TO GET A SLIMMING SMOOTHIE IN 5 STEPS.
- Go for the green.
If you want to lose weight, green leafy vegetables are the go-to for weight loss.
They promote both diuresis and natural detoxification, so remember that at least one ingredient in your weight loss smoothie must be green.
The most popular: cucumber, fennel, celery, basil or parsley, rocket, fresh spinach, dandelion, green cabbage and up to half an avocado. I advise against green cabbage which, when raw, has antinutrients that can interfere with the activity of the thyroid, while for parsley, remember to use only the leaves and not the stem.
Don’t like the taste of vegetables alone?
No problem: combine them with half a banana, a spoonful of honey, a slice of watermelon or cantaloupe, unsweetened pineapple or pineapple juice, unsweetened apple juice, coconut water. - Put in a protein resource: low-fat Greek yogurt or natural low-fat yogurt, a pound of cottage cheese, a glass of milk. These are typically the protein resources that can be paired with the green part of your smoothie. For vegans: a banana or dried figs mixed with a glass of rice milk and a glass of chia seeds, or a spoonful of rice protein isolate with vegetable milk or water.
- Beware of sugars and carbohydrates: it is best to mix vegetables with a naturally sweet liquid, for example unsweetened apple juice or coconut water. Or add a ripe fruit, for example a banana or 6 dates or at most a teaspoon of honey. No to sugar, ice cream, sugary yogurt.
- Pay attention to calories: the perfect calories for a slimming smoothie are about 300 (50/100 from vegetables, 100/150 from proteins, 100 from a ripe fruit). So, if you use avocado (160 calories per pound), use a maximum of one pound (about half an avocado), giving up fruit. For example a cucumber, avocado and Greek yogurt smoothie.
- Consider the fiber: Remember to abound in vegetables, blending plenty to get a smooth and pleasant to drink, but high in fiber mixture. They satiate you and, coupled with liquids, promote regularity.
