Hop extract helps you lose weight

Hop extract helps you lose weight

Good news for beer lovers? Not really, actually, but certainly this research will please those who love this drink. A substance contained in hops improves metabolism, acting on glucose tolerance and even preventing fattening in the case of a high-fat diet.
Too good to be true?
Do you drink beer and lose weight?
This is not quite the case.

First, the study that established that isoumulones in hops improve metabolism and promote weight loss on a high-fat diet was done on mice.
Which have a lot in common with humans, but which metabolically speaking in other studies have shown some differences. However, two other studies have confirmed the hypothesis that hops cause weight loss.

DOES THE HOPS LOSE YOU LOSE? HERE ARE THE STUDIES ON HUMANS

In fact, one in a sample of Japanese diabetics showed that hop extract improved sugar metabolism and had an effect on body fat, decreasing it.
Another in vitro study showed a distinct anti-inflammatory activity of hops on human cells.

The other problem is how much hops to take to have a beneficial effect on body weight. Kind of like the story of resveratrol in red wine which is a powerful antioxidant. Sure, but how many bottles should you drink to get enough to improve your health? On the contrary, you could try herbal teas based on hops, with dry hop extract or organic hops in mother tincture.
Hops are indicated against gastritis, anxiety, stress and sleep disorders, moreover it is a muscle relaxant, that is, it promotes muscle relaxation. And who knows that acting on anxiety and stress does not also make you lose weight!
