In recent times, the future of Half-Life 3  has been at the center of many discussions, especially its possible arrival in virtual reality.
Creating a new chapter of the saga dedicated to the Valve and HTC viewer , called HTC Vive , would greatly help the sales of this device even if this will not be the future of the saga. Ken Birdwell took care of the topic where he explains why the game could create problems for players:
“We are still in that situation where we are trying to figure out what to do with this technology. We have tons of experiments and these are quality ideas but we still have to figure out how to put these ideas into a narrative. How do we pull the player into this amazing dive? If players were to perform all the Half-Life actions in VR they would be tired after five minutes. It doesn’t mean we can’t use that world; we just have to figure out a new way to approach it. “
After these statements it is difficult to see Half-Life 3 dedicated to virtual reality but according to some rumors Valve could propose a kind of spin-off set in the same world. What do you think? Would you like to play this title in the virtual reality version?
