Foods that fill you up: mushrooms!
Mushrooms are spectacular vegetables for losing weight , and today a research confirms it: people who eat mushrooms in the first part of the day (we Italians can try them for lunch) are less hungry from the afternoon until the evening. They would work better than a meat meal on satiety index.
In particular, varieties such as pleurotus are very fleshy and fibrous , as well as having a good protein intake compared to other vegetables: in fact, mushrooms have only 22 calories per 100 grams, and 2.5 grams of protein. But above all, it is the fibers of the mushrooms that give that consistency that affects their satiety.
Here are two simple meal ideas for lunch, very fast, based on mushrooms, for those who have problems getting satiated at the table, at only 300 calories.
Grilled mushrooms alla pizzaiola
Clean 200 g of pleurotus and grill them for a few minutes on each side, add salt and pepper. Transfer them to an oven dish and on each, from the most concave part, put a teaspoon of simple tomato sauce, a teaspoon of ricotta (100 g in total) and a teaspoon of parmesan (20 g in all). Season with a teaspoon of oil and oregano and put in a hot oven (180 °) for 5-10 minutes.
The doses are for one person, for a quick lunch of 300 calories, of which 20 grams of protein!
Eggs with mushrooms
Sauté 250 g of champignon mushrooms in a pan with 5 g of butter, fresh sage or thyme, salt and pepper, for about 10 minutes. Then break two organic eggs on top, cover the pan and cook for another 8 minutes. Serve with a slice of rye bread. Super satiating lunch with 300 calories and 23 grams of calories.
If you want to try them with pasta, season 70 grams of wholemeal pasta with this light mushroom pesto: the dish provides 320 calories, with 12 grams of protein, but you will feel like you are eating a generous pound of pasta.
Power of mushrooms, which in this pesto are prepared raw and give a lot of body to an average dose of pasta.
In short, give the mushrooms a chance if you want to fill yourself with few calories!
