Food allergies, the cause found?
Some studies in recent years have established an important link between the massive use of drugs (the easy indulgence with which we take pills for anything like candy and take advantage of antibiotics at the first lines of fever or at the first inflammation) and food allergies . It is a known fact that food allergies have been on the rise in recent years:they may be full-blown allergies, or “sensitivity” to certain foods. Think of people who are not lactose intolerant but also feel that they do not digest milk well, a food that if you are not used to consuming as an adult gives you some problems in occasional consumption; we think of the “gluten sensitivity” that affects more and more people, who suddenly lose weight when they eat gluten-free foods.
All a case? All mad? Apparently not. But the cause of a health problem almost never coincides with its triggering factor: in short, it would not be the fault of gluten or lactose or American peanut; it would be the fault of a change in our intestinal flora, which allows the allergic reaction
But what is the cause of this depletion of the bacterial flora? Here are the hypotheses of the researchers :
– abuse of substances such as drugs, antibiotics and supplements
– in children, the use and abuse of food products for infants
– diets high in fat but low in vegetables
– excessive hygiene: the use of purges, hand gels, the excessive use of disinfectants, products for the person and for the environment.
What to advise then to a person who suspects an allergy? Pay attention to the diet, increase the consumption of vegetables and fiber in general, of probiotic and prebiotic foods, reducing drugs and antibiotics in cases of strict necessity.
