Eat at these times to lose body fat
The University of Surrey conducted research by dividing a group of overweight people into two samples: same diet for both, meaning no calorie restrictions imposed, but with a key difference that allowed one sample to lose body fat over the other. which, on the other hand, has not registered any changes. The difference is in the timing of the meals.
For ten weeks, the two samples of overweight people ate what they wanted : but one of the two groups postponed breakfast by an hour and a half and anticipated dinner by an hour and a half.
However, all study participants were chosen based on two criteria:
– they had a stable weight, with an average swing of two kilos
– they did not work night shifts
People who anticipated dinner by an hour and a half and postponed breakfast by an hour and a half: that is, at least twelve hours had to pass between the end of dinner and the start of breakfast the next day.
Results: People who fasted for at least twelve hours between dinner the day before and breakfast the next day were able to lose body fat, even if the weight remained the same . That is, they had an increase in lean mass and a decrease in fat mass without exercising, but only with a twelve-hour fast.
Another interesting thing is that the study recruited mostly overweight women , aged between 29 and 57, and all women who fasted for twelve hours managed to lose body fat, whether pre or post. menopause.
To try something like this and see if you can lose body fat, the ideal would be to follow a diet according to these times:
breakfast at nine
snacks and lunch at preferably
dinner time by eight, so that you can finish it by. nine
no snack from nine in the evening until breakfast the next day
This for at least three months, every day, but in the maintenance phase you can also follow this rule from Monday to Friday, leaving the weekend free!
