Easy Diet: The Food Lovers Diet Cleanse

Are you looking for an easy diet, not counting calories?

There is a site that every year launches a challenge: that of a diet based on a healthy and very easy to follow program, with a detoxifying effect. An easy diet, in short, designed especially for those who love good food and good food.
It’s called Food Lovers Diet Cleanse , and it’s the classic example of a diet in which portions are measured according to clenched fists, cups or spoons.

It is also a balanced diet, which therefore allows you to lose weight by eating carbohydrates and not just proteins or fats.
The experiment is this: follow the diet for two weeks. If you lose at least two kilos, you can safely continue it until you reach your ideal weight. In short, the challenge was won.

FOOD LOVERS CLEANSE: THE EASY DIET THAT STARTS WITH YOU

The Food Lovers Diet Cleanse is the diet for those who love food and do not want to make too many sacrifices, but above all they know their needs and their weaknesses and seek a more personal and flexible approach.
Created by the BonAppetit.com site, which has been running this diet for five years, it was developed by a group of dieticians, and is suitable (and adaptable) to everyone.

How long does it last? Two weeks minimum.
Before the end of the two weeks it is forbidden to weigh yourself.

THE FOOD LOVERS DIET CLEANSE / RULES

When to eat. Every 3-4 hours. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and any other snack.
Water: you need to drink at least two liters of water a day.
Alcohol: up to four glasses of wine per week are allowed freely, where by glass we mean half a table glass (or a wine glass of the small ones).

Fruits and vegetables. They must cover at least half of the plate . Snacks between meals must be based on raw fruit or vegetables. Of this half meal, at least in one of the two meals there must be a mixed salad, with raw vegetables of your choice.
The other vegetable dish (the one from the next meal) can be cooked.

Foods no.
White bread and pasta are not recommended.
Quinoa, barley, spelled, red and black rice, sweet potatoes, oats, beans and lentils are recommended instead.
For two weeks we will take a break from white bread and pasta or rice (ok basmati), and so will pizza, biscuits, baked goods from white flour. All cheeses and dairy products are prohibited for two weeks except for yogurt, Greek yogurt and kefir milk.

One day vegan: At least one day a week you shouldn’t eat any animal protein.

Sweets . Dark chocolate and bitter cocoa, honey, agave syrup, unsweetened fruit compote, or malt allowed. All in moderation.

Coffee: Only one coffee per day is allowed.

Portions. To regulate with portions you need to follow the rules of the hand. 

THE FOOD LOVERS DIET CLEANSE / DIET PLAN

The important thing is to follow the above rules.
Below I indicate the maximum allowable doses of foods by type, and a typical day.
Then it’s up to you and your imagination. You just have to learn the rules.

Maximum carbohydrate doses.
From a punch for women to a punch and a half for men of cereals, brown rice, wholemeal pasta or legumes already boiled, twice a day. A medium-small potato as an alternative to one of the two portions or a slice of bread the size of our open palm for women (two for men).
Maximum Protein Servings : One palm of your hand of protein to cook, twice a day.
Vegetables : unlimited quantity.
Fruit: one serving, equivalent to one small fruit or half a cup of mixed fruit in pieces, per meal or in snacks.
Nuts: Up to twenty peanuts or pistachios, or ten almonds or two walnuts + a small spoonful of peanut / almond / hazelnut butter per day.
Avocado: a quarter a day for women, half a day for men. It can be replaced with 2 extra dark chocolate cubes for women, three for men.
Dehydrated fruit without sugar: two to three pieces per day (plums, apricots, dates).
Olive oil : one teaspoon / one tablespoon per day (women / men)
Yogurt: one serving, approximately 100/150 ml per day (women and men), white and skimmed.
Kefir milk – one glass per day.

EXAMPLE

Breakfast. Kefir milk. Fruit (half plate). Oat porridge with a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of cocoa nuggets (half a plate).
Lunch.
Snapper with watercress and carrot salad and a spoonful of vinaigrette, a slice (or two) of bread. A date and an herbal tea.
Snack. Two fruits a day + raw cucumbers, carrots, radishes, fennel if you are hungry.
Dinner. Turkey breast with roasted broccoli.
After dinner : a yogurt with two chopped dried apricots.
