Dr. Sorrentino’s diet of the sun: one bounty away in 30 days

Sun diet, that is: a diet based on certain foods to ensure beautiful skin and prepare us for an amazing tan.

Doctor Nicola Sorrentino , dietician, talked about it in Afternoon Five : here are which foods to focus on for a diet of the sun, and which are the important nutrients that must never be lacking to have beautiful, hydrated and youthful skin.

THE DIET OF THE SUN OF DOCTOR SORRENTINO: THE 3 RULES

Hydrate, purify and stimulate serotonin: these are the three rules of Dr. Sorrentino’s diet of the sun. We can get to follow them through key foods that contain moisturizing and immunostimulating vitamins.

DOCTOR SORRENTINO’S DIET OF THE SUN: THE 4 KEY NUTRIENTS

The four key substances of the sun diet are four vitamins: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Vitamin A.

Vitamins C and E have a strong antioxidant effect and help us in skin hydration: we find vitamin C in citrus fruits, parsley, peppers, kiwis, tomatoes; vitamin E in dried fruit, bananas, basil, marjoram and mint, olive oil, soy and rosemary.
We find vitamin A in milk and derivatives, in fish, in calf liver and as beta-carotene in foods that contain carotenoids (yellow or yellow-orange vegetables such as carrots, potatoes and sweet potatoes, apricots, squash).
Vitamin B2 or riboflavin is found in milk and derivatives, chestnuts and wholemeal flours, mushrooms, almonds, soy, spinach, stockfish.

Green vegetables with their chlorophyll help us maintain a tan.
Finally, skin hydration is enhanced by unsaturated fatty acids (mono and polyunsaturated omega3): green light for extra virgin olive oil, fatty fish, almonds and walnuts.
Let’s see a scheme to lose 4-5 kilos in 30 days with Dr. Sorrentino’s diet of the sun
