Dr. Oz’s 5-Day Tea Diet

Dr. Oz’s 5-Day Tea Diet

The 5-Day Tea Diet is a quick detox regimen to lose 1-2 pounds, conceived by Dr. Pina Lo Giudice , a naturopath, and premiered at the Dr. Oz Show. It involves following 5 detoxifying days based on slimming recipes and tea or herbal teas to promote maximum hydration. Here is the plan.

In these 5 days you eat only natural foods and you also avoid coffee. You can do the diet Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday free and the plan can be repeated for another week. Obviously you have to get the ingredients for tea and herbal teas, so I recommend that you first go to a herbalist’s shop to buy the ingredients.

  • A cup of dandelion tea (warm, hot or cold) with a teaspoon of honey and a little lemon juice.
  • One egg omelette + one egg white. Two corn cakes with 50 grams of mashed ripe avocado on top.
  • Otherwise an overnight porridge with 2 tablespoons of oat germ mixed in 200 ml of white skim or soy yogurt, 100 grams of red fruits, 2 walnuts or 3 crumbled almonds, stevia, cinnamon. Mix everything and put in the fridge overnight covered with plastic wrap. Eat it fresh the next day.
